High Capacity Materials Handling

  • Structural Engineering for a 7500 tonne live capacity relocatable surge facility, including twin 6000 t/h apron feeders, hydraulically actuated horizontal shut-off gates and vertical isolation gates.  Included supervision for fabrication, trial assembly, site erection & commissioning.
  • Preliminary Layout & Detail Design for regenerative overland conveyor system.  Combined length of 12,700 m with three 1800 mm conveyor flights transporting copper ore rated to 8700 t/h at 6 m/s.
  • Structural Engineering for portions of a 8.5 km long, high altitude overland conveyor system, transporting 8500 t/h copper ore from mine to process, including fabrication shop inspections and site erection support.
  • Project Engineering and Field Engineering for the EPC delivery of an Oil Sands ore preparation train rated to 8500 t/h nominal (11,000 t/h peak), from crusher through slurry plant.
  • Discipline Engineering for ore preparation growth and debottleneck projects including plant and ore preparation train relocation studies.
  • Structural studies for optimization of fabricated apron feeder pans exceeding 2500 mm width, and for the addition of shut off gates above existing reclaim apron feeders.
  • Preliminary Layout & Detail Design for initial and subsequent generations of relocatable oil sands crushing plants, from 5500 t/h up to 14,000 t/h in extreme low temperatures.
  • Preliminary Layout for the LAXT coal/coke port facility, including plant conveyors, transfer towers, traveling shiploader and traveling bridge stacker.  Detail design for the 7000 t/h traveling bridge stacker with 150 m rail gauge & 600 m travel distance.
  • Engineering studies for proposed and existing belt conveyor systems with capacity to 15,000 t/h on 1500 to 2100 mm belt widths.
  • Preliminary Layout & Detail Design for extreme temperature belt conveyor head stations and conveyors transporting oil sands rated for 9000 t/h.  1800 mm belts with lengths up to 2100 m.
  • Preliminary Layout & Detail Design for 140 m diameter dome storage facility containing 120,000 tonnes coal.  Stacking capacity at 2500 t/h with 34 m boom, and reclaiming capacity at 1500 t/h with 130 m rail diameter.
  • Preliminary Layout for heap leach system including traveling bridge with stacker and grasshopper conveyors.  Detail design for portable grasshopper conveyors with system capacity of 3000 t/h copper ore.
  • Design-supply of new and refurbished 1500 mm belt conveyor equipment including pulleys, tension winches, and technical review of conveyor drives for new oil sands mine conveyor systems.

 

Standard Capacity Materials Handling & Packaged-Modular Plants

  • Detail Design for multiple aggregate machines and plants, including conveyors, vibrating feeders, portable crushing and screening plants.
  • Engineering for cement plant debottleneck/expansion project studies including roller mill rejects handling, additive receipt/storage/handling, ash handling, and limestone receiving/handling.
  • Project Management for hydrated lime handling projects, including a dust collection system upgrade and an aerated silo bottom installation.
  • Engineering for lime plant improvement projects, including lime kiln dust (LKD) pneumatic handling system and thickener/float cell dust separation systems.
  • Turnkey delivery of an industrial compost materials handling system.  1500 m of 600 to 1350 mm belt conveyors, reversing shuttle conveyors, automated tripper car with cable reel, vibratory feeder, ferrous and non-ferrous separation equipment.
  • Design-supply of 1200 and 1350 mm, 1000 t/h underground belt picking and conveying systems for nickel ore.  Lengths over 300 m complete with hydraulic take up system.
  • Turnkey delivery of a petroleum coke rail car loading facility with handling equipment, electric power, controls, utilities, and civil works.  The facilities’ installation included a retracting bridge, telescoping chute, reversing rail car puller, earth retaining walls, and dust suppression system.
  • Design-supply of 56 m lift vertical pocket belt conveyor system and weigh belt feeder for a petroleum coke power plant in the cement industry.
  • Basic and Detailed design for turnkey delivery of multiple sulphur processing, storage and handling facilities.
  • Engineering Feasibility Studies for a bulk fertilizer handling, storage, cleaning, and multi-purpose load out facility.  Conveyors, elevator, bins, weighing, screening, buildings, civil works, and electrical.
  • Engineering studies of proposed and existing belt conveyor and belt feeder systems for coal, fertilizer, ores, wood products and others.  Underground, plant, and open pit applications from 450 to 1200 mm belt widths.
  • Design-supply of 150 tonne & 50 tonne surge bins complete with AR liners for basalt ore receiving and plant feed.  Concurrent supply of the 1200 & 900 mm reclaim ore belt feeders.
  • Design-supply of eleven 750 and 900 mm, 500 t/h belt conveyor systems for basalt handling within a process plant.  Cantilevered truss, floor and ceiling mounted structures. Dust management at transfer points.
  • Design-supply of an oil sands tailings pond return water skid mounted pump package rated over 25,000 USgpm.  Diesel driven unit for un-manned operation.
  • Design-supply of new and refurbished 60” belt conveyor equipment including pulleys, tension winches, and technical review of conveyor drives for new oil sands mine conveyor systems.
  • Design-supply of a skid mounted booster package rated at 6000 USgpm & 300 ft TDH for oil sands tailings pond water, complete with an innovative suction system.
